Spring Update:

Spring is here with all it's showers,
but there's never been a better time to get involved with sports if you live in London or the UK!

The 2012 season kicks off with a mini-tournament on Satuday 18th February followed by a free practice session on Friday 8th March!

COACHING & TRAINING FOR LADIES (North London):
During the 2012 Spring Season, coaching will take place prior to league matches on the Friday. It will focus on practical participation during league games & learning while playing.
From the Summer Season onwards, coaching will continue to take place on the Friday but will be allocated it's own area enabling players to practice seprately from the league games throughout the entire 2 hour session!

SOUTH LONDON TRAINING & PRACTICE:
Those who prefer to practice south of the river can now head to Kennington Park on Thursdays from 18.30-19.30 & join in regular practice games with local players there. For more info contact:

The season begins with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation Ladies Legends Tournament in Walthamstow on Friday 20th Jan. It's a chance for all over 20's players (sorry no teenagers) to kick-start their year! All league teams are encouraged to take part and new players are welcome to join in with any of the teams going!

 

Then on Saturday 18th February we host a spring tournament as a prelude to the league season. The entry fee is only £35 per team for over an hour of game-time on the day! If you book early this is reduced even further to only £30!

 

The spring tournament will be where the teams travelling to Portugal for the annual Women's International Cup confirm their squad selection so any players wishing to go must make this tournament in order for the selectors to see them play!

There will be an open session for all teams and players on
Friday 9th March from 7pm-9pm at the Ark Academy.
This will enable those who are looking to form new teams or join existing ones to find players to add to their squad.

 

The league matches will then begin from Friday 16th March. Pro5 have a standard prize & awards structure for leagues and tournaments which are highlighted below.

 

Spring League:
Winners:
Qualify for next National Finals & are awarded a Winners Trophy along with Individual Medals for the Team. They also gain Free Entry to a Summer Tournament of their choice.

Runners-up:
Are awarded a Runners-up Trophy & Individual Medals for the team. They also gain Free Entry to a Summer Tournament of their choice.

 

Summer League:
Winners:
Are awarded a Winners Trophy & Individual Medals for the team. They also win between £150 - £400 (up to the value of Seasons Fee).

Runners-up:
Are awarded a Runners-up Trophy & Individual Medals for the team.

 

Autumn League:
Winners:
Are awarded a Winners Trophy & Individual Medals for the team. They also win between £150 - £400 (up to the value of Seasons Fee).

Runners-up:
Are awarded a Runners-up Trophy & Individual Medals for the team. They are also given free entry to the Xmas Cup Tournament!

 

 

Tournaments:
Winners & Runners-up prizes depend on the nature & size of the tournament. All will have Trophies for the Winners & Runners-up along with individual medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed teams!
The main prize can be anything from £100-1000, sporting goods or a place in an international tournament!

 

The Annual Pro5 Summer Outdoor & Xmas Indoor Tournaments have become a regular fixture in the footballing calendar. We kick-start 2012 with a mini spring tournament on Saturday February 18th. With our league season starting again on 9thMarch it's the perfect way to begin your preparations. Remember that the league winners will qualify for the 2012 national tournament.

We will also be helping to prepare teams and players for the International Womens futsal tournament in Portugal. The tournament is scheduled for the weekend of 4th - 6th May 2012 & the teams will stay at the 4-star Tivoli Carvoeiro Hotel pictured here. When we return from Portugal it will be all about the Summer season & tournaments.

The teams travelling to Portugal for the 2012 Womens International Futsal Cup Will be up against some of the best Futsal teams from around the world. The hope is that the experience gained from playing against top opposition will help the teams take their game to the next level. Teams taking part in this years tournaments come from as far as America, Australia and Russia!

 

The really tough games will be against the likes of Portugal who are represented by players from Benfica Ladies FC, Spain who are represented by players from Barcelona Ladies FC & Japan who through using futsal have become a major force in world football. The most anticipated game for either team going would be against Brazil who have a squad comprising of some of the very best players they have to offer. Not only are they current champions, they have won the tournament an unprecedented 5 times!

 

Between Portugal, the Olympic tournaments and the planned Xmas tournament, there's plenty to to look forward to outside of our regular league season!

Remember that in 2012 there are a host of Ladies Leagues and Tournaments all over London. Get involved and feel free to contact Pro5 to help locate your closest league or tournament. Pro5 is also helping to cover the 2012 London Olympics!

 

We will be running a series of practice sessions & mini-leagues throughout the year around London. The league venues are across London including Brixton, Elephant & Castle, Paddington, Kennington & Stratford although the main league venues remain in Wembley, North London.

 

2012 SPRING SEASON PRICES:

18th Feb Spring Tournament: £35 (£30 if paid early)

8 Week League Season (16th March - 11th May):
£60 Deposit & £30 per week for 6 weeks
OR
£200 - If paid in Advance

End of Season Tournament (18th May):
£35 (£30 if paid early)

Full Season - (Both Tournaments & League):
£250 - If paid by 18th Feb

 

The cost of taking part in the league is only an amazing £25 per week for each team if paid in advance!!!!
With up to 10 players allowed per squad each week, that can be as little as £2.50 each player!

Players without a team who wish to take part can do so for only £3 per week where they will be assigned a team to play for.

Matches will last for around 20 minutes and played 10 minutes each way. All teams will play 2 matches each week giving them around 40 minutes of game-time every session! In addition we now run a coaching program which all players taking part have access to!

The format will be a mixture of 5-aside & futsal as we now have teams involved with the league who specialize in both. We hope this altered format satisfies both the 5-aside & futsal players wanting to take part as it allows them to compete on a more even footing! In the lead-up to major tournaments or qualification competitions we do however run futsal or 5-aside specific formats!

For all those who prefer to just play in our tournaments, 2012 will see our biggest ever Summer & Xmas Tournaments to date!

 

If you are not in a team but want to take part simply let us know and we will help as best we can find you a team to join! We also run London's biggest Ladies Futsal League with a potential 20 teams taking part around London over the course of the year.
